Ms. Sharon C. Nevil is a native of San Antonio, where she currently resides with her three adult children. She graduated from McCollum High school; from there she began a career in the financial industry, starting with the completion of various courses in accounting, banking systems, banking regulations, and financial management. In 2001, she became a licensed financial analyst with All State Insurance acquiring Series 6 and 63 licensure. As an independent agent she acquired some 400 clients managing financial assets exceeding $ 3 million. In 2008, God opened a door of new opportunity moving Ms. Nevil to employment with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office where she currently supervises a staff of seven and oversees the daily banking operations. In addition, she has had the opportunity to minister to not only other employees but hundreds of persons incarcerated at the facility. Through this process she has grown to a new spiritual awareness of not only who she is in Christ, but also concerning the lives of those who have been mistreated, degraded, and lost in the system.
When asked what inspires you? Ms. Nevil states, “I draw my inspiration from the never ending love and forgiveness of our Lord. Everyday is a journey and I learn more and more about myself through Him. God has shown me that I am not defined by money or possessions of inanimate objects, but by the ability to see and touch as many hearts as possible. I know that I am to be thankful for the people around me, and to strive to make a difference in one person’s life. For Jesus made all the difference in my life when He knocked on my heart in May of 1994, and I accepted Christ as my Savior.”
